These figures look great! I love their designs and poses. I have a few of questions I hope you can answer:
Can you walk us through the process that went into making these?
Did you work from a concept sketch, or did you just start shoving polygons around?
How much input were allowed for the final design? Did you have to sculpt the design exactly as it was delivered to you, or were there some areas you could modify as you saw fit?
Are the models first made in Zbrush, or are you working from models used in the game (made in Maya or Max)?
As a follow up, are these figures colored and textured in another program, or in Zbrush?
Once these sculpts were finished, did they ever get 3D printed? (And if so, did you get a personal copy, or were they all sent to the factory?)
Who or what were the biggest influences on your work? Did you start as a digital sculptor or a traditional one?
(I’m nosy, so you don’t have to answer these) How many characters were you expected to finish? How long were you given to finish them? Did you feel the quota was too high, too low, or just right?
Finally: Which character (that you worked on) do you like the most? Which character (that you did not work on) do you like the most?
…OK, so that was more questions than I planned, but I hope you will answer some of them.
