Default Monumental Bust Of The Artist’s Lover

    New heights inspired by passion.

Experiments in lively Papier-mâché style sculpts with vigorous poly painting.
Sculpted with shameless sloppy passion in Sculptris Pro and coloured with pots of Polypaint. Final picture taken in Keyshot without flash photography.

    Yours compulsively,
    Boozy.

This is an instant favourite. I'm a sucker for lighthouses, the sea and the moon.

Poetic! I really like your faceted low-polygon creations lately.

"Platonic solid" always has such a philosophical ring to it.

Thanks Metin, I find myself of late interested in polygon resolution in relation to painterly effects i.e soft and gestural at lower resolutions or tighter details at higher resolutions. In relation to a watercolour I guess it’s equivalent to how wet or dry the paper is. Wet being lower resolution , dry being higher resolution.

That's a nice analogy, Mark. I always consider low-polygon, pixel and voxel styles to be a new, digital form of impressionism.

Thank you Rasmus and yes I think you might be right about the focus of the gentleman's interest :-)
Metin , here's an interesting video about using color gradients with uv work that I happened on a few days ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDOuJrz9EMg .
