This is coming along nicely. For the hair, as I've just experiment. you can make the BPR render more "hair like" by adjusting the Root/Tip Anisotropic values in the "Tool > FiberMesh > BPR Settings". Also you can adjust the number of subdivision when it's BPR rendered.

After taking notes and studying Zbrush I realized the modifiers in Fiber Mesh can help you make your own presets.
This helped me out a lot as well about Fiber Mesh,
Length: Defines the overall length of the fibers. The individual length of each fiber is then modulated by the Mask intensity and the By Area slider settings. Coverage: Increases or decreases the density width (thickness) of the Fibers.
