I started this piece on Thursday. Kinda got caught up in it and didn't post too many WIP's. I DID, however, save movies of most of the process! I'll be uploading those tonight and tommorrow.
For now, here's a snap of an early version.
I'll post the final in a minute, then start uploading the vids.
Had an awesome time working on this and learned a ton!
Here's some more WIP images.
Can't wait to start uploading the making of videos!
I had a lot of fun! The girl is the one in the bathing suit that comes with ZBrush.
I reconstructed subdivs to knock her down a level, then resculpted.
The animals were all created from the ZBrush dog! First I made the cat, then the possum, then the bats and rats. Glad most mammals have similar anatomical structures! This also made spliting by parts easy as hell, since they all have the same point count.
The Sno globe effect comes from creating a sphere the flipping under display properties. Once I did that I polypainted the sky and stars.
In the turntable I added ghosts. This was achieved by duplicating the sky globe, flipping the normals back to "regular" and then painting the ghosts with the pen A brush. When I comped it, I repeated the spin x4 and slowed down one rotation of the ghost level by 400%. It was added as a soft light layer.
Here's a link to view the turntable. Anybody have any good suggestions on a site to upload turntables to? Facebook actually did a great job with the compression and it looks nice, but I can't figure out how to share it outside of FB...
Hi uploaded some of the movies I recorded while working on this. I found it best to get into kind of a ritual when recording.
1. Open project.
2. Hit record.
3. Never pause. It won't effect the length of the movie and it's easy to forget to UN-pause.
4. Save Project, Save Tool, Save Movie, Export Movie, Delete Movie.
5. Start recording again.
This helped prevent forgetting to record AND re-exporting part of a session. Anyways...
