    Default "The Unboxing"

Wanted to jump in the contest so I decided to sculpt something up last night
(I know it's late). The idea is an "unboxing" of a pumpkin monster. I like alot
of tech blogs and they always have an unboxing of a new device a few days
before it hits retail shelves (Just removing the contents and taking photos to post
online). So I'm sure if you could order monsters someone would "Unbox" one.

Started out with Zspheres until I got the rough proportions rounded out. I converted
to polymesh 3d, push and pulled a little more before converting to dynamesh. From there
I started to form the base into what I have so far. I used qremesher to optimize the mesh
and now I'll start playing with a pose before sculpting in details and polypainting.

I really like the idea and the development of this project. This is something I would really want to unbox, rather than an iPhone 5 haha. Looking forward to see it finished!.

Attractive modelling and I like the scenario too, but I think, despite the stalk topknot, the character is a little way off 'pumpkinness'. Obviously, suitable colouring will help sell it, but might you not also manage to squeeze some subtle ribbing into the design?

    Default Setting the Scene

Etcher- Thanks. I'll vary them a little more for the final to break the symmetry..

Gonna mess around with some paint now...wanted to rough out my final scene a little more...still have some small
areas on the monster to sculpt. Created the box he's from and hit it with a little spotlight (amazing plug-in btw)....More to come.

    Default Some Paint!

Did some polypainting...played around with some lighting...it's late but I'll finish up the
scene with a few pieces of candy on the floor and maybe some 'unboxing" instructions...

I love it!, those wrinkles and details on the Pumpkin Monster are very well defined, also, the box art looks great.

Love this design so much! Excellent take on the pumpkin monster concept. Your wrinkles and paint job are some of my favorite work I've seen in this challenge.
