Default Freddy Krueger - Halloween Challenge 2012

    Hey guys!

I started this Freddy a while ago with the Halloween contest in mind. I was stupid though, and posted it in the wrong section (the main forum).

Nevertheless, here's the current state (UPDATED)

He's built from the ground up in Zbrush, all of the organic stuff was made using Dynameshed primitives. His hard surface parts were either extruded from the main mesh or made in shadowbox.

Here are a few older WIP shots (I changed direction quite a few times, but I am pretty happy with the way he is turning out now):

    More coming soon!

Thank you very much! Though he isn't done (or even close to finished), I wanted to take the time to upload a turntable to get a better sense of his pose and some more feedback on his proportions. You can watch it here

Massive update! Wasn't too happy with the likeness, resculpted/restructured a bunch of the face. Decided to have him wear the fedora, and I changed up the pose quite a bit:

    Hope you guys like it!

I started adding the scene (with Freddy's boiler/furnace being the centerpiece) and will be sculpting cloth detail next. More coming soon!

Thanks Vits! The fabric texture is actually an alpha that I sculpted in Zbrush and then turned into a displacement texture for the overall sweater (by tiling it).

Here's a quick polypaint preview for Fred

    Hey guys!

Totally changed my scene :P Though I liked the boiler, I felt it wasn't as dynamic as it could be. So I decided to model Fred's actual home, 1428 Elm Street.

    Here are the latest images:

At this point I doubt I'll be able to spend (much) more time on it, due to my schedule. But it was a lot of fun working on him! So much so, that I am going to be Freddy this Halloween :P

Here are a couple of videos of me wearing my costume:
