    Default Sid Ahearne's Sketchbook

Image done for a dear friend's daughter, this is a less detailed version, the original had a Circus backdrop and a sheet over the elephant's back with the little girl's name on it. Done in Zbrush with BPR render and Photoshop touch ups
    Cheers to All.

    Default Tawa Hallae

Image done a few months ago, before I tried out sss rendering in ZBrush, will probably give it another go(with sss)sometime soon, but for now , hope some of you like it.

    T. rex ancestor, measured about 6 feet (180 centimeters) long--tail included--the 215-million-year-old Tawa hallae fossil was found in New Mexico in recent years.

    Cheers

    Default Tawa Hallae references

These were the images I used for reference, the gorgeous illustrations by Jorge Gonzalez were the main inspiration, but I had to do my own version of it, so I gave it larger feathers and less in number(limited by hardware), the skin was painted by hand, no photos used to texture, just wanted to keep it around the browns, again influenced by Jorge Gonzalez. Thank you all for the comments aswell and keep ZBrushing.....
