    Default Blue moon

    Hello

I wanted to share with you my last image. Sculpted and textured with ZBrush and rendered with Maya, Mental ray. I used Maya Hair coupled with curves for the hair, eyebrows and eyelashes done with Fur.

I hope you'll like this portrait attempt

    Cheers !

very beautiful render and model. !
I think work a little more on the eyes, especially the upper eyelid platform.
They appear to be a litle uneven/wonky and too wide towards the nose, they should be narrower.
Other than that... good stuff, a really great personality to this portrait.

edit: just some supersmall adjustments like this i think:

Really nice render and model, are the big eyes intentional ? If not they are big too big, and as above poster said, few small mistakes in her eyelids

Really beautiful face, very classy, I like it. I would center the eyes a little bit, both eyes seem to be looking at different sides, I recognized as a work of yours from the thumbnail because of it, some of your characters seem to have the same distinctive mark. Aside from that nitpick of mine, beautiful work, cheers

    yes its much better.
i dont mind them being big, but the eyes here are such a huge focus point for the viewer
that the slightest anomaly will stick out. There is still something about the eyes that strikes me as peculiar,
but the presentation af the portrait is much better now,
and if this was the first image i saw i probably wouldnt notice it. Now of course its scrutiny

anyway, its a beautiful piece with personality and a captivating feel/mood to it, well done!

Now the eyes are too small, since you scaled them down into the center of the model, and not along the center of each eye ;D But yeah the eyes look much better, you can keep them intentionally bigger, but then you should compensate by paying more attention to their shape and proportions
or you can make the sides of her head thinner, but you would have to get it back to zbrush, unless you are really good with mowing it by hand

Thanks for your great comments guys !

It's a minor adjustment but here it is anyway. It's the last version of course and I think it's not really a bad thing if the eyes are still a little bit 'disturbing'

She's really beautifull and expressive! Very inspiring.
Gotta look into Mental ray, although the interface kinda scares me.. lol

Eyebrow and lashes made with fur... Is that in Zbrush?
you said you exported curves to Maya, is that fibermesh curves?

    Still... Thanks for sharing!
