InsertMesh Master and ZWelder! unofficial - Information, Installation

InsertMesh Master
(Ver 1.2 Updated 9/5/2012)

InsertMesh Master helps speed up the process of creating InsertMesh brushes. It combines settings from the Stroke Palette and the Brush Palette together and allows for these settings to be set BEFORE brush creation!

This plugin is unofficial.

Main features

• Sets your InsertMesh settings BEFORE creating an InsertMesh
• Combines the most changed settings in the Brush Palette and the Stroke Palette
• Can also be used to change settings on an already created InsertMesh Brush
• Examples of some of the changeable options:
• Curve Mode
• Bend
• Weld Points
• Curve Resolution
• Lock Start and Lock End
•
Usage

Installation

UnZip the attached InsertMeshMasterV#.#.ZIP file to your \Pixologic\ZBrush 4R4\ZStartup\ZPlugs\ folder.
Restart ZBrush.
InsertMeshMaster will be located under the Zplugin tab.

Change Log

v1.2: Initial Public Release

Notes

After making quite a few InsertMesh brushes I decided to automate the process of changing the settings in the Brush Modifier Palette and the Stroke Palette. The settings that are on the tool are the ones I tend to set the most. If you find that you want any additional settings added let me know =)

Once again my Zscripting knowledge is average at best; if you find any bugs or other issues please report them in this thread.

Thanks!

-Joseph

ZWelder
(Ver 1.6 Updated 9/5/2012)

ZWelder uses the ‘Import:Weld’ setting to Weld geometry inside of ZBrush!

This plugin is unofficial.

Main features

• Welds your geo without leaving ZBrush

Notes

Thanks to the amazing Paul Gaboury for the idea behind this script! Also thanks to Iván B for letting me use images of his Anillo (ring) model that is shown above!

If you run into any issues let me know and I will attempt to fix them! Hope this plugin helps! (Instead of starting a new thread for this plugin I decided to just attach it to the InsertMesh plugin thread  )

Thanks!

Very cool, Joseph! Thank you so much for your hard work and generosity. :+1:

is look very strong

Thanks Joseph and Paul, the idea behind ZWelder is what I needed
to solve a problem with some objects.

osom thanks!

Very cool. Having all the settings in one menu is pretty helpful.

It looks great! Many Thanks :+1:

Awesome plugs Joseph, thanks so much for creating and sharing :sunglasses:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:!

Great, gonna use that ! You know what else would be nice in there ? An option to apply your current settings in the “Brush:Modifier” Tab to all your MultiInsertMeshes.

Currently you need to go through the whole list of insert meshes in the brush modifier and set the Number of Variations, the Cycle Mode etc.

Was gonna tackle that myself after my current Plugin project but it would tie in nicely into your palette.

wow awesome work! thanks a lot!!

Thank you Joseph, nice job!

When I use IMM brushes, I play a lot with the curve falloff in Stroke > Curve Modifiers, I think would be great to include it in the plugin as well!

Thanks for the great plugins Joseph. :+1:small_orange_diamond:sunglasses:small_orange_diamond:+1:

I have a question regarding the ZWelder plugin and please forgive me if this is a stupid question. When the plugin exports an .OBJ, does it delete the export after it is imported again or is there a collection of .OBJ’s somewhere in a directory that can be deleted?

wow, why do I just see this now? Love the ZWelder plugIn! one less reason to leave ZBrush  thank you so much!

@zber2: It seems like when the plugin exports the model it just overrides the OBJ in the ZWelderData folder. That’s why the plugin came with an OBJ, it always needs one to override (I think). So, you probably shouldn’t delete that one

Thank you.

@Campi: I’ll see about adding that functionality for ya
@stefanobernardi: I’ll have to bug Marcus about the Curve Graph Coding; I’ll see what I can do.
@zber2: hendrik F is correct, only one *.obj is stored at a time. The next time you run Zwelder it will overwrite the old *.obj

I couldn’t get neither of these to show up under the ZPlugin Tab. I’m using ZBrush 4R4 P2.

I’m getting the following errors when trying to use zWelder with 4r5. I really like and use this plug a lot so I thought I’d show the errors in case there is a fix. I get these errors on any given object. Its always the same errors. I didn’t get these in 4r4. The errors occur in order from the top down.
Windows 7 64bit.

Thank you,

Please disregard. I had the plugin only in zBrush 4r5\ZData\ZPlugs and not in zBrush 4r5\ZStartup\ZPlugs. It works fine now.
