    Default Sculptris & Cheetah3D

    Hi there,

I am pretty new to 3D modelling with Sculptris
but was always fond of sculpting physically. I really like how intuitive Sculptris is!
I tried demo versions of zbrush before (not the 4r4) but always lost grip and motivation.

Although, I will give it a try soon if I have time.

Other than that I tried some sculpting and renderings in Cheetah3d which turns out to do the trick for the most things I want to do. Sometimes I just need a prop or an organic shape for a photo manipulation / painting...

Below you see some exercise with Sculptris and Cheetah3D.

Hope you like, C & C is welcome!

I really like your work. How did you get the fine detail?

Thanks, I just use the tools provided in sculptris set to maximum detail at the near final state. Tried some alpha brushes for the bumpy texture look but thats a bit experimental - some fine cracks or texture looks are created with the node-materials editor in Cheetah3D.

Sculpts are nice and renderings make the presentation lovely.
What is the rendering time in cheetah3D?

thanks for the comment! rendering on a macbook pro took around 20 minutes per image with a resolution of around 2000x3600 PX.

Something I did today using just Sculptris, the complete bust is done from scratch in around 2 hours.

I am not familiar with cheetah3D. I will have to check that out. Thanks.

Hey thanks for the positive comment, glad you like!

Cheetah3d is just for Mac I stumbled about it, will also try if Photoshop extended will be useful for renderings too, just experimenting and open for suggestions too!
