    Default Harry's Zbrush Sketchbook

    Hey everyone!

First of all, thanks for watching my Thread. This will be Thread, where i throw in all my WIP-Pictures and my finished Renders.
Sorry for my bad english, i'm german ;)

Working with zbrush since nearly one week, worked in earlier Times with Blender, but only did some architect's.
Want to find out what I can do with Sculpting, please give me some Responses, even critics and improvements.

Here are my first 2 Renders.

The Lion Door knocker is from a Tutorial book, did it in maybe 2 hours.

The Dragon was sculpted at the following day, was tired of following Step-by-Step introductios (got much of them in Blender). So i picked some pictures from the Internet and started sculpting. Needed something like 6 Hours, from beginning to final Render.

    Well now, start Responsing! :-)

Hey I assume you are following Scott Spencer's book? He starts out with that lion head door knocker. haha I remember struggling my way through that. Hope you had an easier time than I did.
I suggest getting as much reference as you can for each sculpture. Study from life as much as possible. The lion head sculpt presents an opportunity to sculpt from a lot of reference. Try not to jump in to details and rendering too early. Focus on getting your basic proportions first... the rest is gravy. good luck
