Made a small change to the wheel shading and added 'preview material on mesh' option
How about this?

Very nice, put up the link!! ..... XD!!! Hey you know you can change the Icons and buttons in the Sculptris\Data folder too. You can bring some of that to life today !
Hah, I'll share the whole project folder on my server: http://www.seanjmacisaac.com/sculptris -- I'd like to see what you can do with the project files, :-)
I moved some of the wheel options for the brush into the tools pop out, I figure since the left side doesn't take up that much room it's a fair trade to clean up the 'super menu'
Sliders over spinners
A simpler spinner, my fave it still #1

I had a whole theme going before my last HD crashed. You have to replace the images HERE ...

I believe they must stay the same size .. and the pieces (buttons and what not) should be in the same place ....
but you can customize all you want ....

Material Groups, something ZBrush can also benefit from.

Tool options
Added the option to toggle pressure sensitivity here and general look improvement. Made the toggles look more recessed and exposed.
Changed the wheel to be minimal (not sure if I like it better than the other one--it looked like a smile)

can you still rotate that alpha in the center of the spacebar menu? :P its kinda looking like zbrush.. thats not very promising.. i do like that you can choose the symmetry plane x,y,z. Radial symmetry looks interesting. the Move, Scale and Rotate buttons need a "Global" button nearby. unless those are the global operators.. and the brush move, Rotate, Scale are different.
I didn't know you could rotate the alpha in Sculptris! New for me, : ) -- I plan on addressing some ZBrush problems with this UI, for example, the sliders that I replaced with spinners, and how collapsed menus work. So, any concerns you have, voice 'em! I missed the global operators piece. I think I'll make a spin/rotate brush and a magnify brush. I'll keep those other M, R, S as global -- I'd like them to work like the ZBrush transpose tool.
I plan on keeping this simple and straight forward! And I like your feedback, I appreciate it. Thank you!
These are just Wannabee WIPs right ..... good suggestions but there's no actual planned work being done here? .... Yes the Icons are nice, and you or anyone else can replace the stock ones with these or whatever in the install\Data folder, but there'd need to be an update for a full interface change. I don't believe there's one coming .......
same here..but there'd need to be an update for a full interface change. I don't believe there's one coming .......
i'll believe it when i see it.
Hi Sean,
Well done - I look forward to testing it and I'm glad somebody continues development on Sculptris.
GUI looks very addictive.
Nice colors but I agree with maciej.
About icons of tools. Very well done, but, do you thing that they're more readable than the original ones?
Sculptris originals are the best icons I ever seen. A masterpiece of UI. Zb was never so good on this.
BTW, what are you trying? To keep sculptris alive? Your nice and beautiful effort makes me sad somehow...![]()
