Need help! My mesh has crossed over itself! (edited title)
When I'm sculpting on sculptris, I've got to a stage where there is a bit with is kind of thin and spindly, it looks like flash on a casting... but whatever I do I can't get rid of it and if I draw over it distorts the drawing.... Help!!! Sorry if I'm not explaining it well....

What's happened is your mesh has crossed over it's self. Unlike real clay meshes can do this, and Sculptris can't see backfaces so it can't edit them. Smooth, Flatten, Reduce .. do it over and over again. You can hit the number (9) on your keyboard if you're using Symmetry, this will hide half the mesh and let you work from the inside. Or you can just try moving inside the model.
I can't seem to fix it.... whatever I do.. Could I upload it somewhere and see if you can fix it?
ahhh So confused!
you could download meshmixer its free as well..
select the bad area and erase & fill , then export the obj back to Sculptris.
or just continue sculpting in meshmixer..
I couldn't import the sculptris file into into the program you suggested an I found to use.. Could I send you the file?
