Nyx says 'Hi'!
...actually I do...
Hello folks,
my name is Marko, I am 29 yrs old, and Im a 2D/3D Artist from Hamburg, Germany. Although I have been following the website for quite a while, I never posted anything. After completing my last project I decided to share it with you, and become more active, since this seems like a nice place to be
I would like to present Nyx to you. She has been created for a Browser Game I work on, called 'DarkOrbit' (Bigpoint). Nyx is a neutral Questgiver, guiding and helping the player throughout the game.
The basemesh and unwrapp I did in 3DsMax, and brought everything to ZBrush, where I did most of the job. I have sculpted her Hair first, but then decided to try it out with Fibermesh, which gave me a headache in the beginning.
After setting up Lightcap, I made a few renderings and composed them in PS. Very little overpainting was done on the hair, eye and lip.
I hope you like her.
Last but not least, I want to thank you for all the great help, tutorials, tips & tricks I have got from this great community.
cheers,
M.

I did sculpt her Hair first, but then I stumbled upon 'Fibermesh'. Since I was new to R3 and Fibermesh, I had some problems in the beginning handling the Hair and bringing it in the right shape. Feel and usage of the Tools was new, so I had to play around and watch tutorials to get an understanding.
My focus was on her face and hair, although I wasnt disregarding the rest of the body. She was needed in high-res for marketing purposes. I got tons of feedback from all sides, which was contrary in many cases. Especially about her cleavage. I worked very close with my Concept Artist Young-Il Shim. We figured that its necessary to filter out personal taste (from others) and keep a focus. I think it works
I can post some more shots and closeups.
Im glad you like the way she turned out.
