hey, guys, I wanted to do a pseudo-study on anatomy, but since I have very little time in the game design course I'm taking, I decided to make it a character as well so I can practice asset design etc. I wanted to get your critiques on what I have so far (anatomy wise, design wise), so I can improve upon it as I move forward with it.
I have been using some reference for the anatomy, and a mix of celtic and medieval designs for the character. It's far from finished, but I hope to have a more realistic/less cartoony look to him in the end. As such, if you can point out major flaws in the anatomy that would be of great help.
This guy has about 2 days of work put into him so far. I've been using zbrush sporadically for a few weeks but not often enough (i do more rigging etc. so I use max a lot) I hope to have this character finished, retopo-ed, and rig ready within 3 or so weeks.
thanks guys, I hope to be as good as many of you someday. Cheers,
Pass 2, went with more of a vampire motif after stopping and reevaluating the original concept.
(The polypainting is just for fun I'll be texturing him for real down the line. I just like to see what my character might turn out like with some color)
pass 3, starting work on alphas, most of the body/accessory modeling is done, but I'm still looking to make the equipment more interesting, add belt buckles, stitches etc, possibly more armor if I find something cool. Still have a lot of small details to work out with regard to the anatomy
