    Default Rebeccak's Sketchbook

    Greetings from a ZBrush newb!

Above is my 2nd attempt at a bust (I tried ZBrush previously but never picked up the knack for it). Last week I began participating in a great class taught by Young Choi at my primarily traditional art oriented art school in Downtown LA, called Korpus School of Art + Gallery.

The sculpt above is my attempt at a likeness of Danny Trejo. Any comments and useful critiques are greatly appreciated! I have really enjoyed getting back into sculpting with ZBrush.

    Thanks!

Dimi, thanks, appreciate the support! I agree, it's hard to beat the awesome natural topology of a face like Danny Trejo's.

Equalizer, thanks! I'm glad he's recognizable!

Above is a bit of progress on Mickey Rooney...I also decided to start sculpting his younger version, for good measure. Comments and crits appreciated!

I first sculpted the older version of Mickey Rooney, with the idea in mind to sculpt a younger version of him and composite the two in a sculpt. Eventually I want to make a ZBrush scene with the theme of Young / Old with the busts of two versions of Mickey Rooney. Not there yet technically but the top comp shows the rough idea of the piece. Below is the modified younger version (WIP) of Mickey Rooney, which was sculpted from the older version.

A bit of an update on the Walter White WIP...a couple of disclaimers (assuming he's reasonably recognizable at this point) - the bullet is totally metaphorical and in no way denotes spoilers to BB, as I've only seen to the end of Season 4. He's about as close to a "Dead Man Walking" as I've ever seen...

Also I've never seen a real head bullet wound and don't care to Google one, so again, this is metaphorical...

    Thanks for looking!
