    Red face My Quick Sculpts

    Hiya,
Here i am going to post my quick sculpts. These will either be finished or unfinished sculpts. I will try to keep it regularly updated.

First post is my 'Bronzed Minotaur statue' :
This took a little under 2hrs to sculpt and has recently formed the base of one of my other character projects on here.

    Default Hiya I decided FROG

    Hiya guys,
This is my next Quick sculpt and yep u guessed it, its a frog. Started from a simple Zsphere rig and am now starting to form in the shape and detail. So far 20mins laying out the rig for the base mesh and maybe 30mins actual sculpting.

    Question frog WiP

    Hiya,
Just another quick update for the frog i am doing. So far total time is just under the 1hrs 45min mark for this quick sculpt.
It has progressed into more of a project than a single quick sculpt, so i will split it into 2 quick sculpts. One for the frog,
pretty much finished now, and one for the Rider (this is yet to be decided. What should i do? What would ride into battle, or
scout the path ahead? Im thinking a rodent of some kind, vole or dormouse?)

Anyway here is my progress so far on the frog im sure ideas will flow soon enough for the 'rider'.

Hmm, It seems to me like you had no reference for either the mouse or the frog while sculpting. I assume this, because your forms are very "blobby," and, honestly, don't resemble the shapes that make up any frog that I've seen
Some of the best advice I've received from a teacher was, "If it looks blobby, it is because you don't know what you are trying to make." Sit down for at least an hour, and really study reference of something before you decide to take it into ZBrush.

Blatant things I would point out about the frog; the back end of it..
One simple google search of "frogs," and you will notice that they don't "indent" before it reaches the endpoint. Either its a straight plane, or it is the INVERSE of what you did, with a very sharp planar break that insinuates some sort of bone structure underneath.

    Smile hi

Haz3y, thanks for your comments almost spot on :-). I did use reference, however I did start it as a 'quick sculpt' and the reference I used was of a much smaller frog and was only really used to remind me of the way in which a frog sits.I didn't concentrate on accurate anatomy as it was planned to be developed with a strong fantasy element, as you can probably tell already. This actually turned into a small project rather than a quick 2hr sculpt the project continues and finishes on its own thread here:http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthr...ller-Mouse-WIP
Please check it out and c+c there :-)
bear in mind, you'd never find a travelling mouse riding on the back of a frog :-) so lets call it a frog-like creature :-)
