    Default Chrix's Sketchbook

With all the great work on this site, I thought I'd chime in. Been using zBrush for a little over a year now, and I'm really impressed with the stuff that pixologic has done. Hope you enjoy! C&C are more than welcome.

You sheild-faced critter is pretty creative. I like the organic/mechanic mix up going on there, but unfortunately the bits on it's biceps and shoulders aren't so convincing. The warrior fellow is an overall clean sculpt, which gives it an enormous aesthetic appeal. I especially like the twin bladed claymore look. The soles of his boots look strange to me, but that's coming from personal preference of style and I wouldn't worry about that much if I were you.

@Jerick thanks, and I agree, in hindsight I probably should have used topology tools to make the straps instead of extruding and dynameshing.

edit: More like this, with creases and all.

really love your entry for the bio mech challenge over at cghub, that is some sick design for sure and the bpr render turned out great.
Will definantly be a tough one against you, you definantly have this one in your pocket. Great seeing you here aswell!
Keep it going and continue having so much fun with zbrush.

@kenny- Thanks! I really liked bits in your entry, especially the turbine hand. It's great to see you active in these different communities, and you really have a knack for zbrush!

    Here's a self portrait wip.

A quick doodle based on a twilight zone episode. Rendered in maya, I may go back and detail some more. I'm really starting to like the zbrush topology tools that I really haven't really touched before.

    and just out of zBrush

It's Morgan Freeman from Shawshank, right?
There is a resemblance, in a nice comic sort of way.
    I like it!
