Batman sketch -
Its cool to finally start posting some work on here, its always a humbling experience whenever I visit these forums. This place is indeed special ;_;
So I hope to get some feedback on one of my first sketches, check it out, its a stylized version of Batman. The inspiration came from a hybrid of Dustin Nguyen's penciling style for batman and Mike Mignola's work.
My goal was to quickly sketch something so I could experiment with the LightCap settings and just see what I could get from playing around.
LightCap is powerful and impressive thank you Pixologic.
I didnt use any BPR filters on these images so they are still very rough as they are just tests. I plan on completing a full Batman soon.
I used the wax material as a base material for my polypaint, I turned off the default zbrush light and I applied a total of 3 lights on specular mode. I used a red rim light with a slight falloff and aperture adjustment, a white light close to the rim light also with some falloff tweaking and another white light to bring out the details at the center of the model.
On these images I used a total of 4 lights
I used a white rim light to give it a nice fresnel effect, a red light to top right and a yellow light to the topleft, both with some aperture and falloff tweaks as well as some exposure tweakes, and a white light with a square alpha to bring out some specular contour.

and for this one I just moved the lights around a abit and lowered the intensity of the yellow light.
Also something I noted, I'm not sure if this is a proper way of rendering but I would use the best render and when that finished I would click the BPR and as a result this is how the images came out. I experimented with the create environment but I couldn't narrow down a subtle result.
i hope I'm using correct terminology although I trust someone will correct me as all comments will be appreciated![]()
