How do I view the actual code of a model I created?
How do I view the actual code of a model I created?
I would like to copyright a model I made but I was told in order to copyright a 3d model you need to copy the code and send it as a text file to the copyright office. I don't know how to view the code of a zbrush model. Is the like a .ma file for zbrush like there is for Maya?

The ZBrush proprietary file format for models is the ZTL. You can open this is a text editor but it will be meaningless because it's a binary format. I can't imagine that will be very useful for copyrighting the file.
You can export your model from ZBrush as either an OBJ or a Maya .ma file. These are both text files (though if your model is high poly then they will be huge files!).
HTH,

Thank you
Oh! That explains why the .ztl code looked all funky. I wanted to copyright the actual .ztl file but I guess its all the same in code. Thanks for the tip!
