Here are a couple threads with some good info:

There's also the documentation included with Z4. It's in the Documentation folder, where you installed ZBrush.

And don't forget to check out the many other beta tester threads: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?f=112 You'll find a lot of helpful info.

Cool Todd! I especially like your baseball cap guy sculpt a lot. I personally don't know of any ZBrush rendering tutorials but I'm sure there are some out there, check Gnomon maybe?... I deter to my Scott Spencer ZBrush book for all that stuff, even though it's old it's still really helpful. Check it out.

Thanks Auric, I checked those links out..... I think I am going to need a little more time to completely understand it all. Any tips for positioning lights, I really would love to have a visual indicator in the veiwport to let me know where exactly the light is.

Thanks Moni, I liked the toon sculpt you did of yourself, nice work!

Here's another sculpt based on a sketch from my sketchbook. Some post in PS to do some of the things I cant do in ZB yet

I created a new female base mesh in 3ds Max, and started sculpting as time permits. She still needs plenty of work, hands need to be refined, props added, and obviously hair

Small update, had a little time to work on her again. Refined her face, hat, and vest and added new hair. Ponytails were proving to be hard to duplicate in my tests with 3ds max's hair and fur, so they were axed Hands have some progress, still more to do there.

    thanks for commenting/viewing

    Thanks for the comments guys!

I've been reading/testing to try to get a lifelike skin material for the cowgirl character. This is my first simple test with a speedsculpt I created not long ago. Once I am completely happy with the results, the cowgirl will be back on track Some great info here on ZBC as well as on cgfeedback.

    Technical info:

Vray sss2 with a blend to a standard vray material for reflection control. Lit with a 3 point lighting set-up, I decided to use target spots for this example.
