Thanks Rick. That's a big compliment. Your work is always inspiring. The hair test works ok, it came about by necessity as my machine could not subdivide further.. but I guess that's why they call it the mother of invention..?

Hi Phil, nice stuff you have posted. I truly like it. I saw you've been through Scott's figure sculpting class. I'm about to start too in the next couple of weeks. Any pointers or advice you could give me for the class? Thanks for any help provided.

    Hi Aurfax.

    sorry i missed this.
Advice.. err... well, the course is great and you just get more out the more time you can put in. I was expecting to spend roughly 6 hours a week, but if you can make the time 2 days per week could be used to good effect.

Like learning everything, it's just time and effort.

Oh, and get on the forum... The more people who can enjoy the course together and offer feedback and advice the better.
I was not full enrollment, so no tutored feedback from Scott. A few other people on the forum to share work with was real helpfull and motivating.

    I hope you enjoy it.
Good luck. and post some pics.. It would be good to see.

    Cheers,
    Phil.

Hey Phil, thanks for the advice. I'm already in the third week and I wish I would put more time into the first two, but I'm a bit occupied wrapping up a demo. Nevertheless, I'll follow your adivce and definitely pick it up for the rest of the weeks. I saw some of your posts on the forums. You did a good job, but I can see your evolution and you definitely grew with the course, which is great to see. Alirght Phill, thanks again for the advice, and Ill try to post some images of the assignments here at ZBC. Check my sketchbook every now and then and Ill upload images there. Take care Phill, hope to see more of your work.

Woah, really nice sculpt! Some fine mastery of fibermesh there too, whatever I do with it looks awful so far!

    Thanks!

I was struggling until i found the slider for : Brush/Fibermesh/Front Collision Tolerance

Before fibers were pulling to the brush to much, especially with short hairs... but knock that baby down and your in business...

    Good luck.

Great sculpt. I really like the strong expression and the fibermesh work.
