Rick,
If this is you 'playing', I'd love to see some 'real' work
Great images as always, always look forward to your posts.

Maybe you could edge it over to being a direwolf like the ones In The Game of Thrones?

Joel: I can't do it... this just isn't working. I don't know how Shatner does it every week!
Crowe T. Robot: I don't know why he does it, or who lets him do it!
I cant even explain how cool it is that i get to post my zbrush stuff in the same forums as the one and only Rick Baker. Rick you are an inspiration and an icon.

God, what an awesome look it has now.
Rick, forgive me if this has been posted before, but Pixologic's Application Engineer Paul Gaboury has this video on YouTube in which he details how to get all kinds of great effects with FiberMesh. It's really long but worth it!

Thanks guys. I got some time to work on this today. Getting tired of trying to groom this hair,so I played with the BPR filters some. It's pretty cool what you can do inside ZBrush now.Well actually it has always been pretty cool.
Anyways here is the latest ZB render of this continuing work in progress.
Eric I wish I would have checked this thread earlier to see the video you posted from Paul. I sure it would have helped.
Also someone asked earlier how Modo works into my work process or something like that ,well I was using it for it's render capabilities and to adjust topography, now that you can do some pretty cool renders in ZB I will probably use it to animate ,now that is has character animation. I'm actually excited to play with that.
I will continue working on this tomorrow but will probably have to stop after that too much work to do and not enough playing time.
Oh and don't call me MR Baker just Rick. Mr Baker makes me feel old. I know I am old but don't want to be reminded of it.
I can't imagine anyone who creates monsters for a living will never get old, at least at heart.
As always, absolutely love your creations!
Ow yeah - now after those changes you did to hairs it looks LOT better. I am loving ears - good to see what can be achieved, as I will have to deal with it soon on ears of my own creature. What I like in your work that it doesnt look CG - closer you are to finish it has more fleshy, real look. I would love to see your animation man - if you will make it as detailed as sculpting that is going to be awesomeKeep it up Rick - good to see that stuff.
At second look I love tongue as well - is it polypainted?
Love your latest update Rick, Amazing and beautiful how much color variation his fur has. The specular/reflections on the inside of his mouth/nose makes it super real. I think that "perspective" is turned off in your last render ?

amazing work! Congratulations master!
Terrific as always! And great rendering. Did you achieve the highlights in the mouth and nose with the material blur feature? Can't wait for the next post!
