Everyday I keep checking. ; ) -- I've been waiting for this exact feature for 3 years.

This is better than 3d coat's autotopo.

Actually it looks exactly the same as 3dCoat's guided topo, and they also have auto topo, which does a pretty good job. QR will need to be value priced, or more feature rich to be superior to whats already been available for quite some time.

The loops are forced--so I'm looking forward to that extra level of control. Last time I used Autotopo in 3dcoat, the loops weren't forced. I am also much more familiar with the ZBrush UI. I bet it'll be priced around the $80 mark.

Shouldn't there be an open alpha version available long ago?

QRemesher is result of the collective efforts of both Pixologic and Verold. As it’s name suggests, it is a remeshing solution both automatic and guided. Stay tuned, for a February pre-release Alpha version of QRemesher, available for download and preview inside ZBrush 4R2b. Once completed, QRemesher will be available for purchase and download at Pixologic.com.

This could mean one of two things. Either the plugin is so good they couldn't be bothered with the alpha as no-one would pay for the full version since the free alpha would be so good or.... there has been a right f*** up and someone has been telling porkies to how far along development truly is....

Either way i'm getting disappointed that there has been little news.

Odds are they just want to get it out with as few bugs and as many features as possible. Especially since this is the first paid zbrush plugin ever to come out, they don't want anyone to muck it up.

The suspense is killing me.... is there any news at all? This is such a killer feature for creating game characters all in ZBrush its unreal. Just a little tease of maybe another screenshot of an edge loop or something other than that head thing would be great.

Urm... Has QRemesher been forgotten about?... I'm starting to feel that the longer I wait for this plugin the more my mind is hyping it up and I worry it's going to be really disappointing. I hope not but it's been a few months now since it was announced and still nothing

They must have run into some show stopping issues for it to have been delayed this long now. Otherwise we'd all be using it by now.

The last 30 secs of this video briefly mentions testing QRemesher http://youtu.be/tG4NwNmCw14?t=56m18s

When this thing is finally released--it's going to be either what we've all been waiting for, for years--Or the biggest disapointment... ever.
