Default Keep Sink: An Animated short production blog

    Hey All!

I've started up a production blog for an upcoming animation.
www.keepsink.com Come and check it out to see some concept work and timelapse Zbrush modelling. Here is our concept:

Keep Sink is a 5 minute animated short currently in production. It follows a young woman as she slowly sinks deep into the ocean through different ecosystems and ultimately into unexplored terrain. The ocean is a long gradient and while she sinks she seemlessly transitions between spaces. We want the animation to function as a serene meditative experience. We set out to make an aesthetic journey combining the beauty of the ocean and the beauty of deep space.

Here are a few production images from it so far:

Here is a character that I modelled and rigged and ultimately we aren't going to use (we are going with a live action dancer):

Here is a timelapse of me modeling an asteroid:

And lastly here is a rig test on the character:

Would love any feedback you all have!

    Cheers!

    Default Production Updates

We've got some production updates on the short up on our blog http://www.keepsink.com/blog

Here is a compositing test I finished this week. Just testing out some of the render layers.

We have a camera that is synced up between Maya and After Effects to do a lot of the post work.

Out of Maya we're rendering a
    Diffuse Pass
    AO pass
    Depth Pass

Check out more updates on our blog: http://keepsink.com

    Thanks!
    Ryan

    Default New Trailer Online!

    Hey all!

We have finished up the final cut of the video and are currently sending it out to festivals, which unfortunately means I can't post it online. You don't know how much I would love to just post it. But I did cut together a little trailer to give you all an idea of what the project looks and feels like. Check it out here:

Would love to hear any feedback / reactions to this work! Thanks a ton! Check out the production work at: http://www.facebook.com/keepsink
