I don't get it, How did it exactly crashed? How can that be any possible? I'm not questioning, I've heard it a lot of times, but from my POV and basic understanding of PC hardware the last thing susceptible of irrecoverable damage is the HDD. There are things such as DVD drives, processor, memory or graphics cards first, even the displays are way before of hard disks in my list. Are you absolutely sure there's no way to recover the info in that disk?

Anyway, 1.7M tris are very good news. Congrats, now I'm waiting to see the real justadeletedguy 2012 thread.

I'm not sure it's the hard drive, because it wouldn't boot Ubuntu from disc either. But everything I had was saved in (My Documents) with a password ... You can usually override the password as Administrator on XP, but it's one at a time typing the password for each, and I've never done it in Win 7. Plus it will have to wait until I get some sort of Sata to USB adapter, to run the drive as an external from my Laptop. .... Meanwhile ....

It's amazing what a new machine can do ........

Ya this new Laptops got me goin in all new directions ...... funny thing is now Wings3d bogs on me ..... something about poor Opengl support on Win 7 64bit ...... but no prob with Sculptris ... I would bog down bad at like 70-80k before ...

Hey, where was that Cycles Tutorial you did ?..... still haven't really played with that yet!!!

Yes, meshmixer is becoming a big part of him .... however now I'm running into problems with the retopo, I'll post an update soon .....
