    Default Lapsus Mentales (sketchbook)

    Hi Pixologic community,
I'm new to the forums, but I've been looking into the beatifull art you guys create for years.
I'm an IT consultant and the only thing that links me to 3D and sculpting is passion, dreams, joy.

I hope you guys like what I do on my spare time.

Let me introduce myself with a few sculpts I did on the past year. I hope 2012 brings me more inspiration, time and more great sculpting time:

I wanted to make a toy soldier but I didn't finish it to start with the next 'project' which was some kind of space monkey.

For the soldier I focused on achieving good cartoonish proportions.

I didn't finish the space monkey either, but I did some retopology work on it and I was satisfied enough with the result.
I had to make a good head topology once in my life hehe and I consider it's at least decent for some realtime renders, animation would be a different story.

Finally this is the most self rewarding project I've started (and finished!):

I'm specially proud of the animal fur and pose. Human skin has a lot of room for improvement.

Thank you all for taking a second to look at this beginner/artist-wannabe work. Crits are, of course, welcome.

I'm trying out some of the new features (apart from Dynamesh wich just rocks) in terms of rendering, materials and lights.... Having fun so far hehe any tip or C&C?

    Thanks!

if you turn on the grid before rendering bpr you get a nice shadow on the flow

I just want to say I like the blue background better. It makes it "childish" and pleasing to look at. Ofcourse, the angle of the clouds vs dragon is a little of on that one ^_^
