lol! As the Pink Floyd song says "Wish you were here", but in this case reverse that, wish I were there! High temp of 22f today and no sun in sight...

We must be getting UK Weather....however speaking of Pink Floyd Mr Waters will be here next week (going to the concert) so hopefully as I have 2 days off then ZBrush update will be out by then...or better still....will it be out by this Thursday the 26th? Public holiday over here....just dying to get my hands on the new release like everyone must be!!!!

And as for the cheeky devil asking if ZBrush works upside down.....indeed it does ;o)

this looks good, but I wonder if Pixologic have fixed whatever bug happens with importing images through the texture import feature? it really makes Z4R2 unworkable for me, and I'm sadly still using Z4.

Importing images through Texture: Import causes Z4R2 to hang, and/or crash. Exporting an image, working on it, saving it and reimporting doesn't work either because photoshop/Z4R2 no longer seem to enjoy both having the same image open anymore, as they do in Z4.

I think why your files are hanging up is because you have to change the "PreLoad File Size" in the Preferences>Performance menu. Once you raise this you will not have the hang up in 4R2...me thinks at least for me...

Also there is a known crash happening with textures when loading from the left Texture icon. Load all of your textures from the actual Texture menu at the top or from Lightbox and you will not have any crashes from loading.

Oh! Thank you SO much, I will give your suggestion a try and stop using the left texture icon to load up my textures! I so want to use Z4R2 and am really looking forward to my update email!

Yup, and that's that.

All of the newer people to zbrush probably don't realize that back in the day slipped deadlines were a running joke... it's only more recently that they've started hitting release dates that they've made public.

But don't worry, i'm sure we'll hear something in the next hour or two- or at the very least the next day or so. They have gotten a lot better about it in recent years.

They may have not made it out by the 23rd like they said they would, but if it comes out this month even, that will be close enough for this old-schooler to call it good
