Awesome, I love the look the especially the tongue! The only thing that bothers me is the gums I guess it is (tubular and shiny) perhaps a bit more of a difference in color from the tongue. IMHO. Cheers, David

Hey Skdzines thanks so much, it's always motivating to have some feedback!!

I was really inspired by the Interview with Oliver Thill so i started to play (randomly) with matcaps. Here are the results, the last one was a multilayer composition in photoshop, i'm planning to study more about materials to have better control on them, so if anybody has any suggestion on good tutorials, i would really appreciate it! here are the ones i already found:

Thanks you very much Lvxifer, i'm so happy you dropped by, i'm always checking your thread ;D
I thought it could be interesting to share with you guys the workflow i used to come up with the Dautar demon sculpture...here we go!

    1. Doodles with different mediums on paper
    2. Mirror them and refine the most interesting
    3. Use it as a guide for sculpting
    4. Try different color combinations using layer blending in photoshop
    5. Polypaint from reference

Hope you like it, C&C are cool XD

great workflow and sculpted results! i'm interested why you're not just using QuickSketch in zbrush with the symmetry on? i mean papers nice and all but seeing the mirror effect instantly has got to trump that - or are you liking the blindness of the random results?

Hi Magbhitu, i'm happy you like it!

About the quicksketch you already got the point. It's a very powerful tool, but to me it has some limitations for this kind of workflow: it tends to show things too fast and i noticed i would end up to start the refining phase too early. Whit this method i still try to envision the mirrored part, but i can also decide to forget about it and just work on the shape balance without worrying to make it resemble something...beside that, working freehand is faster and i can experiment with different mediums like pencils, markers, brushes, washes, etc. for a wider range of texture. An other interesting aspects is that i'm not working on one by one, but i'm laying down a full page and then i start jumping from one another following my excitement and listening to music, it's a very relaxing and loosening moment XD

Btw, i've just finished some more doodles, i'll post them very soon, cya!
