Daz Studio 4 !!!
Sorry I haven't posted anything lately, I've been kinda busy. Last week I also saw the announcement about DAZ giving away their DAZ Studio 4 Pro, and got it right away. I've been playing around a bit and this new "Genesis" toy is Great ! You don't need to buy anything else. You can make your own Clothes/Hair and do your own Morphs and Mats. Here's how .....
Some more Sculptris and Daz Studio
Here I'm using Sculptris to help fix a Celeb morph from Facegen. Facegen is a good place to start, but always gets the eyes and mouth too big, plus many shapes, dimples, lines are just not possible with even the extended Daz Morphs ... but with Sculptris It's all possible. First, in the "Perameters" tab under "General" you'll find "Mesh resolution". Set it to Base and 0 Subdivisions. Then you can export and work on your model in Sculptris. To make a morph to import back to Genesis, Zero all changes in the "Shaping tab", so that all you export is the base Genesis with the head morph.
Remesh with Wings3d !!!
This takes a little longer than Dynamesh ... but it works!, and gives a little more control over polycount than the blender plugin.

Setting up "Jarvis" bot
Here's a quick tutorial on setting up a simple "Jarvis" with Speech and Speech Recognition
It's just a simple VB script you can edit in Notepad.
I forgot to mention in the vid ...
1) To save to a "Programs Folder" open Notepad as Administrator. and
2) To remove ugly Pink outline from Daz render, I used Paint.NET - Armegeddon tools - Alpha Works and just turned the alpha contras way up.
Here's the script ..
CreateObject("SAPI.SpVoice").Speak "Write what you want to hear HERE!"
Set objShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
ObjShell.exec("C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\blender.exe")
This works great with RocketDock and Shortcut Items where you can replace the Icon, or try Tazti with
Speech Recognition, it's not that hard to set up.
Low-poly Hair. For those who don't have the software or the hardware to build hair as geometry, there's still the old-school way and it still works good ......
You can use the Turntable Animation in Sculptris for something like a pottery wheel, but Blender has Radial Symmetry like Zbrush. Here's a look at both
here's my little take on Painting bumps in Paint Mode .... it takes a little set up, and is not nearly as fast as Zbrush, but you can get very good details in Paint Mode ....
a Bump map cant deform the geometry.
Made with Blender Dynotopo
rendered with MicroRender

Here's some of my technique wings3d. I use several keyboard shortcuts I set up, and a Manifoldlab plugin for this.
