On closer inspection though, why does he have a Zelda clasp? Not that the tri-force isn't an awesome easter-egg or anything, I was just curious!

Thank you Rykka! You should've seen it before I sort of started to get it to look like Sean Bean. I had it looking way closer to Aragorn than Boromir. So much so that I nearly switched characters mid-stream lol. I'll be doing Aragorn or Theoden next, probably after I tweak Saruman a bit more. If you can't tell I'm a little obsessive about getting these guys to look the way I want!

It's coming along. Keep it up! However, the hair seems to be a bit wirery on his head and way to thin and fuzzy for the eyebrows, mustache and goatee. You should try reducing the size of the coverage as well as the base and tip thickness for the head. For the mustache and goatee, this would be a bit coarser type of hair. Also be careful when moving or smoothing the fibers as you'll get weird flat and misshaped fibers like your getting in the goatee area.

Thanks skd. I noticed the artifacts in the beard after posting the .jpeg here. You're right about the hair bein a little too wirey as well. I boosted the fibermesh radius a little before rendering and maybe that was too much. Oh well, I keep tweaking these things forever anyway so that's one more on the list lol.

ere's Saruman again with a tweaked mustache and reduced perspective camera as well as a new background.

Working on Theoden at the moment. I've fought this project from about minute one. First I had a weird artifact in his cheek that did NOT want to be smoothed and then my lighting keeps coming out wonky.

Beautiful job done on your Hobbit house piece Gary..Luv the atmospheric feeling that you captured..reminds me of a foggy and cold frosty morning where the morning dew has settled onto everything during the night....I wonder what a faint indication of smoke rising from the chimney might look like in this piece....Might have the affect of giving the feeling that there is someone inside of the house, staying warmed by the fire, ..which in turn might add an extra element of the presence of life within, and of time passing ect. to the piece,..an element which cannot be seen by the viewer, but only imagined.....Just a passing thought that might be useful...who knows.....Really like the way that candle light came out by the way..excellent..
Really like the colors in the Cornelius piece also..coming out great, along with all the other pieces that you are working on at present...It's a really pleasing visual journy everytime that I visit your thread...Makes me want to keep coming back..
    Keep Inspired and Inspiring Gary..Always..

Thank you Glenn. I have plans for several more things to do with Bag End in photoshop to enhance the atmosphere even further. I actually added the smoke right after I posted the last image but I want to get a few other things done with it before I post it again. On top of that I've been spending a lot of time revising other older sculpts with some of the things I've learned in the last few weeks so I'll be posting a lot of revisions to some older things as well.

Here's a revision of Theoden. I plan on replacing his dress uniform with battle armor. The clothing just doesn't do it for me lol.

    Hi Gary

Wow...Luv the way that armor is coming out on the Theoden character...Excellent color combination......His face color is a little to much on the pink side though..a rendering or something problem I think I read that you were having...Maybe try putting him in the ZBRUSH Spotlight feature, and paste some skin color onto his face using a photo with nice skin color...Just a thought that crossed my mind..
That wisp of smoke coming from the chimney in your hobbit house piece ..really brings that piece to life, by creating a subtle sense of motion..It's a nice contrast and compiment to the stillness of a cold foggy and dew laden morning...Outstanding..
