    Default Crevasse's Sketchbook

    Hey there,
I'm a long time watcher and an occasional poster. I love what I've been seeing out of the Zbrush community.
it's so inspirational. I'm finally at the level where I think my work's worth posting and I figure keeping a regular sketchbook will help with consistency.

So this First one I did before 4R2 so no Dynamesh. It's a bust of one of my Friends.

This Ork was a Dynamesh test and I really liked it.

And finally my current project. A Zealot from Starcraft
I've started to get a pretty good workflow using Dynamesh to create the base shapes.
Also used the Curvetube brush for the hair.

I love Zbrush. I started Traditionally Drawing painting etc. then moved on to digital, modelling and stuff but Zbrush has made everything come together.

Finished with the Zealot for the moment. Wanna give him a body at some point.
Working on making a Dragon by separating certain parts with subtools.
This is the Head so far.

As always questions and comments welcome.

This is the progress on the Dragon.
The head, neck and body are separate subtools.
I've been using Corey Schroeder's new Brush The organic Buildup Brush a lot. It's really good.
Dynamesh is awesome for creating the base shapes but I dont really go that high into the resolution
I like to keep my bases low and work up by subd's

Next I'll be doing the wings and the legs.

Great start to your sketchbook....Love what's going on with the dragon that your working on...
Maybe some bigger deltoid/shoulder muscles and latissismus dorsi/wing muscles...and longer wings also....Just some thoughts that crossed my mind while enjoying your work..
Anyway, hope to see more of your works..

    Still working on the Dragon

@SpiritDreamer: using your suggestions, gonna make the wings larger and develop the muscles more. thanks.

For tonight I started part of a long term project.
Never worked on a child before. I think it's going pretty well.
    Around 6 years old.

Working on proportions and building form with dynamesh.
    Criticism welcome as always.

    Thanks for the support man.
Been a really busy week for but I have a lot of time off this week so hopefully I'll make up what time I lost.
That is if Skyrim allows me too. Great inspiration for my dragon project though

Finally back to making stuff. Felt like giving the organic stuff a break for a day so I start this:

Pretty classic nothing fancy about it but I've wanted to do an Oak Barrel for a long time. Not sure why.
The base was made in Max and I've been using Spotlight to texture along with hand painted stuff.
My plan is to make it into a Low Poly Game Object.

Thanks man I appreciate the support.

Unfortunately I had a power failure and lost a lot of the barrel but I'm back to where I was.
I'll posted when the low poly is done.

    Nice sculpting
-well you didn't leave the organic entirely with the barrel

The texture looks very good, but just for the sake of realism, try avoiding wood with knots
    - they leak when the wood dries, -so they're no good for barrels
