Really Really glad and happy to see you opening a sketchbook up in here...I have always admired your work and teaching skills from your ZBRUSH Clasroom demo's to your DVD..Sculpting Wrinkles in ZBRUSH...Inspirational on both counts....and now with the further teaching skilles of Ryan added to the mix as in that last posted demo..It's like hitting a home run with all of the bases loaded.
    Anyway, to cut it short...OUTSTANDING...
    Thank You.

Spent the day raking and cleaning outside. Good therapy ^____^
Sat down tonight and just finished off this little guy... calling him SMILE.
Sometimes in design you get it right away... other times it just takes doing lots and lots of sculpts.
I think I've worked this one into the ground, that's OK. You learn from doing these quick sculpts.
Besides, I like the hands... new direction for me and will explore them in another design in the future I'm sure.

Bryan Wynia - Thanks man, glad you're digging it ^____-

mattj324 - Nice rex Matt. You went in a different direction than mine. Mine's more fantasy yours is in the real category.

SpiritDreamer - Wow, thanks for that. I think this will be cathartic. I do these and they never see the light of day. I'll throw it all up on here good / bad whatever.
    Should be really fun.

Wife's birthday party tomorrow, no computer for me. ^____^ I'll be back on monday catch you all then.
BTW, have I mentioned I'm having fun. To my friends out there, you know what I mean.
I really am, it's been a tough year and really feel positively about this process.
    Any how, Night all.

    Hello Everyone.
Been a busy few day and haven't had much time to get in here.
Yesterday we launched the Design class over at creatureworkshops.com
I think it went well, the first one is always a tough one as there's so much material to get through allot of talking at the start. ^____^
Which cut into my sculpting time, we run at an average of 2hr sessions.
So the theme was monsters, and I went with Bigfoot. Just happened that way on the spot.
By the end of the 2 hr session I knew I had something that I liked but wasn't satisfied... so I'm posting up
where I stopped during the class and I spent another 2 hours on it afterwards.
I just felt compelled to as I really liked some of the thing going on in the face.
I don't plan on doing this very often, so I apologize to my students. But I just had to do it and if there's one thing you'll all learn about me
is that DOING is what I'm about, no regrets... life is too short.

    mattj324 - Too kind Sir.

Kenshiro - Thank you, I kinda have an idea I want to try paint wise that just might make this character. There's an old FX Makeup rule.
Nothing can save a bad paint job, but a bad sculpt can be made with great paint. Not that I'm saying I'm great at painting, far from it. Still learning.
But I do think, THINK that maybe, just maybe what I got going on in my mind could work. ^____-

    Ok Back to it.

Great how you set yourself up with a challenge, and then set about overcoming it by whatever works, and by whatever means necessary..never stop learning something new using that method and approach, and never fall into that formula trap that stiffles the chance of finding out something new and unexpected..Great approach leading to creativity...
Looking forward to seeing the progress and final outcome..
