ZBrush 4R2 Beta Testing By: James Van Den Bogart

Hey everyone,

I had a great time playing with the beta. The latest additions are truly remarkable. Zbrush has always been a more artistic program than most other packages, but with the newly developed dynamesh and mesh insert features it has raised the artistic bar yet again. The freedom to create on the fly is absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the zbrush community does with the new sculpting and rendering features.

More please! Awesome as usual sir!

great works James, your style of works are recognizable from miles away

Wow! Amazing stuff man! Thanks for posting the videos too. They were very informative. Also, is there a new feature in Zbrush that lets you add topology to the sculpt? I saw that you start sculpting from a sphere and while pushing and stretching the mesh does get stretched quite a bit but then it seems denser and you manage to get more detail. Was that only from dividing your mesh over and over again or is it a new feature like the add detail feature from Sculptris?

Hi ! really nice work ! i love the workflow !

i have just one question , watching the videos i see you start from a sphere and how come the topology change according to your extrusions ?
if i want to make hands for example from a sphere i have to make new one or use Zsphere . but i see you can have a topology changable .

thanks for your time for reading this , and looking forward for an answer from you !
thanks

keep up the good work !

Best regards,
Salim Ljabli
