If your new to the forum, there will be a delay when you are posting images. This will happen for about the first 10 posts you make. Just policy.
you just gave me an idea of colorizing the depth channel to look like a colored fog. I never thought of that before.

Below is an animation of an alien portrait animated in zbrush using the "time line" function and "layers" and also completely rendered in Zbrush.

This is a final picture of the same alien portrait. It has been rendered in Mental Ray and touched up in Photoshop.

This image was done as a final work in a concept design coarse on CG Society lead by Bryan Wynia. The concept was for the story by H P Lovecraft titled, "Shadow Over Innsmouth". This story tells of immortal fish people who come to breed with the towns folk of Innsmouth and give them immortality but also some fishy features too as they get older.
Anywho, this is my creation, hope you like it.
Thanks,
Nick

The final image.

This is the sculpture polypainted but without details (smooth skin). Also I changed his eyes quite a bit after this too.

This shows a couple of sculptures with a couple of gill variations. These are paintovers done in Photoshop.

This is the earlier version of the final character. This is what is used as a base for the first two paintovers in the image above. It is a 60min speed sculpt.
I was going for an asian man look due to the story breifly mentioning that there were ships coming in from China a some point when the town was popular.

This is a guy that I have revisited a few times. At first I didnt know what I wanted hhis face to look like, so I left it for a while. Then I drew it one day and sculpted it the next day! Ive now made a couple variations, as you will see, to his size/mass. I will do more variations on him too, even to make him a

Do the skinny one!
At least the second pair of arms. Making them skinny would "fit" them onto the body frame better. A little bit of bulk on the upper arms would complement them nicely.
so much to learn...
Chatterbox!!
Took a little longer than 1hr. About 1 1/2hr and 20mins in photoshop.

Video of the making of him.
Here I have my drawings and then a zbrush sculpt. The Sculpt took around 5-6hours to reach this point.

Ok, for this fellow, I had no idea what I was to make. Just started to pull out the mesh and thinking, I want this to something unlike anything I have seen or made so far.
Aside from the humanoid build and the fact that it has a mouth and two eyes fixed to a head, I think I achieved that. It took around 3-4hours to complete.

Just threw together a bit of a change in expression. Just to make him a bit happier to be here.
