    Post Boba Fett...completed

Well, i decided to finish up this pic real quick and forget about the ship (it would have been really hard to make in Z). so here's Fett with a painted (by me) background of the landing platform in Cloud City. I don't have much else to say about this image, so here it is...

You did a really nice job, Jib...!
You shouldn't really consider how much work something is to do though...Quite often I've found that taking on that work is how you learn new things, and sometimes the results are much greater, and more rewarding than you could have imagined! That being said, you brought this one home with style, and the lighting is really fine...

It turned out great bud! Very nice work on the color tones and the inclusion of the landing platform in the background! If you have a pic of the actual ship why don't you post it. I think I would like to give it a go. Maybe between the two of us we could come up with something.

If you still have the file I think you should try to put a ship in, you are very good at modeling. I like the lighting also which is something of particular interest to me. I think contrast has a great effect on the quality of light, and your image seems to have low contrast. I think that this image should be high contrast but still dark to keep that ominous feeling that you already have here. If you don't already know this, you should try using the contrast graph in the render> adjust panel. It's better than just moving the contrast slider because you can adjust selectively in the light and dark areas.

I hope you don't mind me messing with your image. I like Star Wars characters too. I'm making an image of Queen Amidala right now

I agree with Zoid. The picture looks so much better now. Jibb you did a GREAT job with the modeling and the colors. Why hide all that detail and quality work in the dark?

I didn't think it could be improved but Zoid has shown it could be done. Those are very vivid colors!

Maybe I shouldn't go against the flow, but I actually prefer the original image better. The altered image looks to cartoonish for my taste.

I like the more intense lighting, myself. (GREAT tip, Zoid)

But that's secondary beside the fact that you've done an awesome job with this pic! You've really captured the character.
