    Talking Just a feather!

Yes it is simple, but I am trying to learn all of the technigues and little secrets ZBrush has hidden, that you find by experimenting. Hope you do not mind me showing it. And hope no one finds it junk or waste!

    Thanks for looking!

Wow Gibson, I do NOT find this a waste. I still cannot make good feathers. And for future projects, I NEED to be able to make feathers.

If you could provide a script of how you did this, I would be in your debt forever

Hey don't underestimate this piece. It may have been an experiment but it turned out very nice indeed! Certainly worthy of posting for the rest of us to see. Very lovely.

very nice feather Gibson...now you take this feather and grab it in z and make a 3d alpha from it....and then you have a regular 3d feather you can use for other things...I love this piece...very soft

Mandy, I did this feather with the pencil case and smudge brush, all free hand, or I would be glad to send a script. One thing I learned was the effect that a #4H pencil has on what I call white paint is astounding. Try it, paint a white strip with #2 brush and alpha brush #2.2 and fast shader material and draw a line through it with a #4h pencil and then at 50% smudge just start smudging. I am not as experienced or talented as most of the people on this forum. I feel like a child that just learning to walk. Its exciting.

    Hope I helped you Mandy.
