    Post Dragon top wip

well dragons are something that I just suck at....but with all the scaley behemoths lately I thought I would try my hand at one...this is his top half...will add the jaw soon...3d sphere, snake hook, cone tool, ...I am hung on that skin material at the moment...you know a boy loves to play with a new toy

added the jaw and neck...probably as far as I will take it....thnx for the gracious comments yall....always appreciated....

thnx Belle...added a background I made last night to it....

update...made the dragon smaller and added wings...the background was supposed to be something volcanic happening...my son saw it and said it looked like something evil coming from the dog (as he called it.snicker) 1.23b and psp tweakin'...
    have a great weekend.

Looks great for a top half! The eye is really nice, Ron. Just looks weird without a jaw.

I like the dragon so far Ron, but I have to say the background is a little on the bright side for me...Sort of wipes out the mood...

Great work so far on the Draconis Harrisi...

Great start, Ron. The head is looking good, and the texture is ace.

BTW I can see where your son got the "dog" impression from - the projecting face does have something of the Irish Wolfhound about it, particularly in version #2.

I do agree with SC about the background. Dramatic and well done though it is, the big splash of white does compete very strongly with the dragon for the viewer's attention and keeps drawing the eye away from the main subject.
