Just curious how you came up withe the polaroid moniker? They used to be a big client of mine,
That's really cool, I looked through your website and your photographs are really great . You have a very classic style with the B&W. About the moniker, when I was a young kid earlier in the 90's, my grandfather gave me his camera from when he was younger. It didn't work anymore, but ever since then I've been really interested in instant film, I went out and bought my own polaroid camera and have taken hundreds of pictures with it from every time I went out somewhere with friends. Unfortunately, a few years ago when they discontinued the film production, I was only able to find the 600 film online for really damn outrageous prices, so my polaroid camera is just sitting on my desk now . TO make up for it though, in 2009 I went out and got myself a Fujifilm instant camera that shoots wallet size film. I really love it and continue to use it as much as possible, but I do miss the authentic quality of the 600 polaroid film.

Hahah that dragged on more than I thought it would, sorry! I'd love to hear some stories from you though, I'm a big fan of Polaroid and instant film in general, though I like all forms of photography.

Anyway, I revisited an old character and decided to make the render less boring by trying to comp together something a little better. Crits highly welcome I'm still not sure about it yet.

    Thumbs up

    @polaroid

Hey Polaroid, All is not lost, there is a company in Germany that is making Polaroid film! Check them out: http://www.the-impossible-project.com/

I am glad that you liked my work! Did you happen to see the section that had some of my 20" x 24" Polaroids? I always loved polaroid and professional photographers relied more on their polaroid backs than on their light meters! I had one for my Hasselblad! I love this last sculpt and the background is a sweet touch! All the best my friend! cheers, David

Very cool character, totally love her face! Her body proportions are nice too, she has a pretty booty shape^^
Great pose aswell and the composite with the catwalk very nice idea! Fits together great
The fibermesh loooks alright, think you can push it a little further!
Looking forward seeing more from you Polaroid,
    Happy sculpting

@chalkman thanks for that David that that silvershade and sepia toned packs look like so much fun. ahhh, you're gonna make me spend all my money that I don't have!! haha. Your first image in the 20x24 Polaroid section is my favorite of the bunch. The tone is just beautiful! When were these taken?

@KC-production thanks for looking man! believe it or not, the fibers aren't fibermesh, but rather the original fiber shader back in the original Zbrush 4 . Unfortunately, my school hasn't upgraded from R2 to R2b yet, so I have to hold off on my home computer so projects will transfer fine between places.

Turntable of my queen! Anybody know how to export a high quality HD turntable from ZBrush and upload it to Vimeo without losing that quality? My exported .MOV is much higher quality than this uploaded version Any tips would be awesome.

i would import the mov into after effects (if you have it) and then add the clip to the composition, then go to composition (next to file menu at the top)>make movie
then in the render settings go to output module then click on format options, and set codec to x264vfw and you should get a low file size, but higher quality clip.

the process is hard to explain, if you don't manage i can make a video of the process.

    brilliant work btw

Love the Cat/Dog Lady, Her hair is fab - your queen looks fantastic too and i really dig the vampire bust, although I think the your renders might benefit from some Ambient Occlusion perhaps...

I think you need a Pro account at VIMEO for uploading HD movies - I had the same problem and didn't know why the resolution was so crappy.
