In the business world yes. In Hollywood snatching a mathematically perfect likeness has many advantages. Much and more of entertainment is illusion, and there will always be need for artists. No less than any other time.Originally Posted by window1

I don't know whether to be inspired or just give up.![]()

Grabbing a face scan does not just do the work for you. You have a very great likeness to the actor/actress - then a *&^* ton of awful topology along with it... the scan does not give you a workable mesh for animation. It however gives you a great hi-res likeness to transfer to a retopologized version of that scan...Sooo in other words - STAY INSPIRED
Hah, thanks. Practice practice practice. By the way, TAD is having a sale 7.99 on all downloads. I just got the Cryptcrawler for 7.99 down from 60.Originally Posted by weirdy

Hi, Brandon.
This is Taka from Japan. Very nice work! Especially, Sculpted hair of Suckerpunch figure looks very natural. Complicated costumes are very clean and sharp. One of surprising thing is you started using Modo for modeling and rendering. I need to learn more about lighting, rendering, and hard surface staff. And I love your Hulk, very impressive! I have been modeling and texturing Hulk for my personal project too.

Beautiful sculpt ... love your work.
D.
Beautiful work. I especially like your control of the hair. How did you go about making the hair, if you don't mind me asking.
Hey everyone, hey Taka,
The hair of Lady Deadpool was a banana shaped mesh, doubled or tripled its length, twisted it about the shoulder. Then at subd level two or three, I deleted lower, hid every other thread of polys, masked, unhide all, inflate to create 'canals'. Squeeze them, twist them, etc. Duplicated a couple. Good luck.

Thanks!
Fantastic job! I'm curious if you could elaborate on how you achieved the fishnet stockings pattern? Is it sculpted detail on the leg, a separate subtool, etc.? I see these types of tile-able patterns on many different characters but never know exactly how people do it.Originally Posted by bLawless
