    Default Scarlett

    Hi All,

Here is some WIP shots of Scarlett, the character I'm working on at the moment. Scarlett is a plucky little lady with a love of the 80's and blowing things up. The final piece will be a top end game res model probably using the xouli shader, but I though it would be fun to do some high poly work and do a quick pose.

Here are some Zbrush Screenshots of her so far. I'd love to hear what peeps think.

    Thanks

    Neat model!

Any relation to the G. I. JOE. Scarlett, who was also a "plucky little lady with a love of the 80's and blowing things up"?

    (insert "love rocket" joke here)

Heres just a quick VRay render, so far so good but those displacement maps are really annoying.

Good work! Probably it's to late to make changes but I think it possibly looks better if shoulder were tilted another side to show weight of launcher and also more tight grip of launcher handle will make more sence... Anyway good work!

Totyo - Yeah a friend at work told me about sucker punch about half way through and they became a valuable inspiration. Those sucker punch girls are pretty and awesome.

Surfajaro - Thanks and when I finish her I'll think about tutorials. I build most pieces in max to start in a very low form - GoZ to Zbrush for a workup to SubD4 or5 - back to Max for added detail, new geometry and UVLayout - GoZ to Zbrush for next level of detail and so on... That’s pretty much my pipeline in a nutshell. I find a fluid pipeline helps with the creative flow rather than a linear Model - Zbrush - texture - game flow and GoZ really helps with that.

Eight – I’ve included a shot of my lighting setup. It’s very quick and simple as these renders were for a bit of fun and practice but that’s the power of Vray. Hope it helps.

Eof3d - You might be right about that, I'm still not happy with the pose as her weight is off, for the final piece I'd like to also put more weight onto the rear leg, and tilt the hips, I was going to add her holding a lollipop but that might have been too cliché. I was aiming for a plucky, youthful, relaxed and simple pose rather than demur or overly sexy. When I get to the final version I'll add a lot more facial detail and an expression as well as give the final pose an overhaul. Thanks for the crit though.

Solildsnakexxx,ezekiel6, digitalmind, spydnel, julien, MightyFlog and Muddpitt - Big thanks
