    still way to go.
    Indeed! for cycles, mostly.
    We're just learning the nodes based UI. That's all we can do for the moment. Waiting.

    Long time not posting.
    Not enough free time, you see. I spend most of it learning and loving latest blender builds.
    The new skin modifier is incredibly good and compatible with sculptris. Far superior to Zspheres, it can join vertices (torus for instance). An excellent assist to Sculptris as you can have base meshes with holes etc.
    Great new implementations to cycles as well. Here, the experimental blended box mapping. The faster way for presenting your sculptris work.
    A 20 mins doodling then.

    Hey Bas, thank you.
    Nice to see you here.
    Messing with blender and ZB all these days, I almost missed the simplicity and effectiveness of Sculptris.

    Welcome back, Michalis. Where's the skin modifier, on the 2.63 Release or the beta? Any news of normal maps and Cycles?

    1. Skin modifier
    2. sculptris
    3. Cube blended texture mapping (cycles)
    4. I found this excellent tutorial on how to implement dirt in cycles. Using blender vertex painting, similarly to the zbrush technic!

    300 passes, ~3 mins at 1600 px, hdri + one light.
    The fastest way to render your sculpts and have a decent presentation.

    Thanks kokoro.
    I didn't quite understand why I'm posting on this forum, most replays came from zb users.
    But it's a sculptris-blender project. Anyway.
    Here an updated version, same shading method, heavily tweaked.

    Some work on the shader.
    A more antique bronze look.

    Amazing work Michalis!

    Stumbled upon the thread and worked my way from the beginning.

    @sketchguy
    @Knacki

    Thank you.
    I do like rendering but not more than just sculpting. It's just that I wasn't in the sculpture mood, two months now.
