Indeed! for cycles, mostly.
We're just learning the nodes based UI. That's all we can do for the moment. Waiting.

Nice render and material. The sculpt came out real nice

Hey Bas, thank you.
Nice to see you here.
Messing with blender and ZB all these days, I almost missed the simplicity and effectiveness of Sculptris.

Welcome back, Michalis. Where's the skin modifier, on the 2.63 Release or the beta? Any news of normal maps and Cycles?
-
Hey serek!
Please, always try one of these official latest builds.

Skin modifier is in trunk now. It's ... in modifiers panel
-
1. Skin modifier
2. sculptris
3. Cube blended texture mapping (cycles)
4. I found this excellent tutorial on how to implement dirt in cycles. Using blender vertex painting, similarly to the zbrush technic!
300 passes, ~3 mins at 1600 px, hdri + one light.
The fastest way to render your sculpts and have a decent presentation.

wow, michalis, that skin modifier is awesome ! this is a fun way to create a mesh ... and the new mapping options in blender too, very excited :-)

Thanks kokoro.
I didn't quite understand why I'm posting on this forum, most replays came from zb users.
But it's a sculptris-blender project. Anyway.
Here an updated version, same shading method, heavily tweaked.

Stumbled upon the thread and worked my way from the beginning.

Michalis - your renderings are always a sensation!

@sketchguy
@Knacki
Thank you.
I do like rendering but not more than just sculpting. It's just that I wasn't in the sculpture mood, two months now.
