Default Mac 'N' Cheese - Zbrush progress

    Hey guys,
Some progress images of the characers for the Short film "Mac 'n' Cheese". The graduation short we've been working on for the last 5 months.
The 2 characters were both created within zbrush (with the help of maya and photoshop).
Detailed sculpting was later used to create cavity, normal and AO maps for the "lower-res" final models. Textures were handpainted in PS and Zbrush, fixed in bodypaint.
Blendshapes were created in Zbrush aswell.

    The first character,'Skinny'

    And 'Biggy'

    The two of them together

The environments were also created in Zbrush then decimated to create a triangulated mesh, we later developed this into a way of making the backgrounds look more paintsy! You will see more in our next post.

    Thanks a lot guys!
The "shading" part is mostly done in fusion, by rendering out a color and control (surf luminace, facing ratio, AO) layer in maya.

    Default Blendshapes

The blendshapes were done in Zbrush aswell. Just a fantastic way of sculpting with layers
