    Default Tron

    tron_strip1231.jpg
Hi guys! It`s been a while!
Here is a fan art of Tron: Legacy i've made for personal stuff.
I've blocked the armor in zbrush, than retopologize everything.
Rendered in Max / mental ray.

Rigged by my friend Alex Angelis.
Background city illustration by Vladimir Shelest.

sweet design and modeling! Definitely top row quality. I'd love to see any behind the scenes, wires, making-of that you'd be willing to share. Looking forward to seeing more

Sweet! Great shots, love the suit! When do we get to see him (or her?) on a lightcycle?

    Thanks guys, appreciate that!
Here is some part of the process, i'll post some render breakdown soon!

All i did was to block the anatomy and body shapes, mask the armor form over the body and extract it.
Than sculpted it using references from the movie.
The tricky part was the retopology, once i wanted to do every detail on the model, not with textures. Lots of hard edges with soft shapes mixed... it was a real pain haha.

One question: would you be able to animate the character like this, with the topology you have? I have a similar character, with lots of panel lines and was considering re-topologizing it and modeling most of the panel lines, but I was concerned that this would then cause problems in trying to animate it.

Thanks a lor for the comments!!

JimCrafton: Yes this is an animation ready model. It's a kind of a "heavy" mesh to skin but it works pretty well

    cheers!
