Nice one. Marble painting is fine, what you need is some SSS effect under BPR. Or at least, just export it and render in a decent GlobalIllumination renderer.

hi michalis, thanks a lot for looking and suggesting how to improve, i appreciate very much ... i tried the way, and here is result. (making nice renders is much harder than modeling ...)

Very nice last one. SSS can be improved, you need it on the front face too. You gonna need a quad shader and playing with the mixing modes.

thanks michalis :-) ... yes, i need learn more about materials, ,,, good i experiment with quqdshader for next marble project. thanks for showing me the direction :-)

Compositing multiple passes in Ps is the best way. Not sss layers only, rim lights as well. As screen layers in most cases.
Does this help?

But what is really missing from BPR is globalIllumination. Or hdr lighting (a fake GI thing) which we'll have soon (Zb4#2).
Very nice last bust

thanks michalis for the links...yes i actually used these already to learn how to do composing, as your renders inspired me so much to try too. and yes, i had rendered rim lights also in extra pass. i like that composing gives lots of control... i am looking forward to new z4 :-)
