    Default My zbrush sketchbook

Hey all, my name is Hans, I've been having fun with zbrush for about a year or so. This is some of the stuff I've done in that time.
I've put the anatomical models up for download for free, you can get the links here -
    http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthr...=133624&page=1

This is the second zbrush sculpt I did, not going to show the first. Copy from a life sculpt done by canadian sculptor.
And another girl using same mesh and fewer polygons.

I'm happy about this one study of a little known actor, doesn't look so much like him but nevertheless I'm satisfied. Polypainted. Not going to finish it.

Bone studies and ecorche, I know the muscles need a lot more work.
Was studying from medical anatomy so ended up doing a lot of muscles an artist probably doesn't need, and not giving enough intention to the important ones.

In the progress of doing this zsketch model, will wait finishing it untill I've done the ecorche for the legs and arms.

Started this deamonhead. I really like were it's going, I'm gonna wait finishing untill I've done a retop and studied maya hair/sss. I hope I'll be able to make a really finished portfolio work inside maya.

    Default A bit more done

Going further with the deamonhead, managed to get it retoped in 3dcoat, will have to do it again soon.
I'm trying a sort of terror/fear expression instead of anger. deamon3.jpg

    skeletdone!.jpg

Btw you can download the pieces for it for free in this thread : AnatomyModelThread

I will upload it in one piece soon so you don't have to wait for filesonic, right now I think it is in 6 files or so.

Other than that I'm working on these two and the deamon in the above post

This is some pretty good stuff, I really like it when people sculpt hair on their models.

I would up the render quality of the images and make them smaller. It seems you have done a screen dump for most of these images.

Other than that, your taking the right direction

Done with the base for this ecorche, will move on to normal sculpting now. I'm working from the big german book by Gottfried Bammes. zsketchecorche1.jpg

This is why I love Italy - cool stuff like this door-knocker(if it's called that) are litterally around the corner! Going home soon, so now I'm running around all over town with my camera taking as many pictures as possible.
Don't know if I'll finish it, it's heavy detailed with curled hair and beard. I'm not really good at finishing things.

Done for now. At some point I will do more surface details and probably another retop, and then try and import into 3ds max.

THanks man! I might do some better renderings of the skeleton.

Started work on this raptor head. Main source the first jurassic park movie. It's incredible how well made special effects were even back then.

I'm using sculptris together with zbrush for this project.
Sculptris alpha 6 is almost crash free.. And it has GoZ

As long as I keep a constant eye on the mesh, sculpting in zbrush even with less than 20.000 tries has been no problem(with clay brushes, modified "Ryan" clay brush, trim dynamic, move, move-topo, smooth, standard).

Sculptris together with zbrush is super super fast for this kind of sculpting. Whenever I see stretching I just GoZ to sculptris and fix it with the reduce/increase triangle brush, as well as reducing entire mesh when I feel lost in details.

At this point 1.6 million polys.
I don't GoZ anymore, Sculptris can't handle the presure... So only Zbrush from now on.
But pretty amazing to get so far with so few polys so fast without having to do a retop first. Sculptris is AWESOME!
Still far from done but getting there...
    Reptile skin is fun
