Default Fantastic Four - from the comics

This is the first of a few models made on comic heroes, in the style of the artists who drew them. I wish to make 3-D versions of these characters, and give them some deep, very realistic shading, to make it look like it came from a film, or at least looks like a sculpted statue. I've started with Reed Richards from the Fantastic Four, since they've got the simplest designs (not counting that one), and I've based it on old Kirby/Buscema drawings. There's that "how to draw" template which I used to create the figure, and we know which one. Here are a few references I wish to use- this one, then this.

I started off with a brick (814 quads), and then polypainted it at seven levels of subdivision, and then sculpted (briefly) the hair. Both stages are shown in attached images.

I'd like to make it more high-end, so before I go on and start sculpting further, I'll need your advice on that. In the next stage, I wish to sculpt the hair, sculpt facial details, show the cloth folds and a little muscle, and to take it further, make the gloves, boots and 4 symbol more 3-D. If you wish to see more snaps, I'll load them. I wish to know what workflow to follow, for this model.
