I love the last render, the skull is great!
You always give your renders such a nice feel, I can't put my finger on what it is, but it's almost magical!

Waah.. totally missed it!!!!!! It`s looking suuuuper awesome.
    First rate work!
I`m very sure that I`ll see this one in an art book.
Regarding the print, I`ll post pictures here as soon as I can.
I`m still not sure if the problem is solved or not. They are working on a test-print and I`m waiting for their answer.
Something is wrong with the texture.. there are some weird seams and I don`t see them in ZBrush and that makes it hard to solve for me and I don`t know if I made a mistake or not. I tried almost everything.. new UVs.. bigger UV map..smaller UV map.. made an UV Check.. exported as obj and as VRML.. decimated and not decimated but the seams are still there and that`s really frustrating.
Cool to hear that you`ll get a print from this guy. Is it colored?
And how tall is it? Well..I guess you`ll post pictures here then.
Can`t wait to see it. Cheers!

mutte696: Thanks mate Apart from a few flaws I am pretty happy with it

    Moni-Poroni: Haha thanks Moni!
    haha you´ll never know
Looking forward to the pics! Why can´t you see the seams in ZB? not even with uvmaster or "morph uv"? :/
If you want and they can´t solve it then you can send the .ztl to me and I can take a look for you
Yeah, having the spetsnaz printed is really cool! It will be 14" tall I think
Nope, no color. I think colored prints are very rare so you are lucky
I will definitely post photos of it here hehe!
    Cheers!

After watching Etchers drawings from when he was a kid Etcher_Sketcher I wanted to do the same! So here are a few of my early drawings. Did most of these between the age of 6-15 I think :P Have a huge binder with hundreds of drawings! I also threw in a clay sculpt I did then I was 18 or something.

Hope you enjoy them and feel the same nostalgia I felt when watching Etchers!

Jonas how did you get all tiny pores and details into 3dsamx vray?
You used only displacement map generated in zb or you also made cavity mask for extra bump? Or you simply painted by hand the bump map but what I saw the pores come form zbrush sculpt? Did you used normal map? How big were your uvs 4k? I have problems with maps for whole character to get enough details in it for wrinkles and pores.

Great to see those drawings!!!! My favourite is the one depicting the torture dungeon -> lots of crazy stuff happenin' there also, that sculpt looks very good! Good ol' days -> we have to keep that limitless imagination close by .

I think my question is similar to lukx but what is the poly limit used in the textured render? And what maps were used? It came out beautiful.

    killfrog58: haha thanks man!

Santis: Glad you liked them, yepp I was totally hooked :P

allativarsha: Happy to hear than! Keep pushing them pixols

lukx: To bring back the details that gets lost in the disp I usually create a bump to go with it.
An easy way is to tweak your disp a little and use it as bump as well All maps were 4k. It is impossible to get fine details in an entire body, you will have to slice it up into smaller parts and divide the crap out of them Hope this helps!

Etcher: Haha yeah I am really proud of the torture dungeon Soo glad I took the time to look through all my old drawings

    Marvin Silvestre: Thanks man!

soulty666: Glad you like it The textures render is all decimated so the polycount is probably around 10 million if I remember correctly.

Got my 3D print of the Spetsnaz a while back so I thought I would show some pics of this beauty!
(You will have to excuse the poor photo quality since I only have a lousy compact camera hehe)
The print is made by the amazing Clint Burgin and his company ClayboxStudio (http://www.clayboxstudio.com/)
    and is 14 inches (35cm) tall!!!! :P
I can´t praise Clint enough for the incredible quality of this print (even the cloth fabric was able to be printed!!!)
Hope you like this guy as much as I do

Hi Jonas! Wow, really awesome print of your soldier. I wonder, is the 3D print very breakable (like the strap on the rifle)?
