    Default 7of9 / Jeri Ryan (2011)

    Hello guys,

I'm here again with a new version of a
Star Trek Voyager character: '7of9' (played by Jeri Ryan). I did a sculpt of her once already back in 2008, now I'm going for photorealism.

First one is the raw render from 3ds Max, Vray.
Second one is color corrected in Photoshop.

Ears need a bit more tweaking,

Eyelashes are still placeholders, modeled and placed them manually. Also the eyebrows and hair are missing.

Does anybody have proof that good hair can be created with Max's built in Hair/fur?

I'm afraid I won't be able to recognise her until your get to the chest area... corset thin waste...and hermitically sealed buttocks... hurry up, for the love of all that's holy!

    Great work!

    Hey Norbi,

Head seems to be narrow, lips flat, eye shape is off a bit, and in general shee looks like a 7of9 in her late forties. You might also consider the reposition of the eyeball, she looks a bit frightened.
    Cheers,

RawSunlight: Thanks! I'm afraid you won't see her chest..teh focus will be on her face.

    Hey Jester,
Thanks for the feedback! Can you show me where the eye shape is off?
    I don't see it.
The narrowness comes from the FOV I think. But I'll experiment...

Also the age...yes. I had more refpics of her taken 'recently' not 15 years ago. Plus the shading I think. Anyway, we'll see how she turns out.

her eyes are a little bit too big... especially for the side of the eyes where there are a bit too much exposure of the eye ball.

to make it easier to understand, it feels like her eyes are popping out of her eye socket. but it looks like you fix that in your lately version... let's try to render it with texture and see how it looks.

I like it a lot. Where did you find a good pictures to model her head. I've found one of the front of her face, but not of the profile.

Wow, I never realized her lower lip was so big! I won't be able to recognize her until her hair is done, though.
Will you do only one hairstyle for her? Might be cool to see her with different fashion.

    Default Modeling Seven

Update on Seven. So I decided to... but the image speaks for itself.
Hair and eyebrows are missing (I know she has hair... it's a placeholder). Also some hangings into the background or she will be kneeling on a bed in the sickbay. But maybe that's too distracting. Anyway, here is the current wip image. (Comments, suggestions are welcome. Thanks!)

@Mordus: Used Google but I just found a nice collection of her. Even with these images I consider her face a 'hard target' to be sculpted.

@Sang Hee: Since hair is not an easy thing to do I'll stick to the hairstyle we already know she had as 7of9.
